Re: Can I overlap my insurance ?
Pretty sure that is technically fraud since you are running two policies against the same asset There's no law against the same risk being covered by multiple insurance policies - you can insure the same item/items/property with multiple companies if you wish and this often happens e.g. you could l...

Re: Can I overlap my insurance ?
I've always found that insurance companies are happy to start cover from whatever date you say within a certain period (most seem to expect it to start within a month), and this is usually set as the expiry date of a current policy - although when I've switched insurers in the past I've set the star...

Re: Used Car values rising - Time to rethink your insurance?
Chatting over lunch to the owner of a D5S, he was explaining how he had looked at a number of used cars and how the prices have risen. This got me thinking abut declared values on Insurance policies and if one should reassess their own declared value. Fortunately for me I have an agreed value on my...

Re: Roadster S #160
The two offer very different driving experiences. The engine in the roadster is lovely and being NA it feels really strong, almost muscle car like. The bi turbo is a much faster car though Although it's not exactly a slow car, in the modern turbocharge-everything era an RS isn't that fast, it doesn...

I know how well you keep your cars so if I was after a wagon I'd be on the phone about #127

Re: E85 Roadster S #200 (LUX)
There is also one at Leisure Car Shop & Gumtree not selling at £18,450 and another at Historic Classic £18k both over valued I guess. A friend sold his Z4 £34k and on the dealer’s forecourt just below £39k The market decides the value, and asking prices for RS' have been pretty strong lately, but m...

Re: E85 Roadster S #200 (LUX)
Personally, the engine work wouldn't bother me too much as it was carried out by a main dealer under warranty (so there shouldn't have been any cost-cutting), and appears to have had a subsequent inspection at Buchloe (as long as the documentation backs this up). It's covered around 13k since then s...

Re: Alpina Roadster
If you want a V8 'Alpina Roadster' - the one based on the BMW Z8 - I hope you have deep pockets as they typically sell for well over £200k ...or do you mean an 'Alpina Roadster S'? - the one based on the E85 BMW Z4 - as they are much more affordable for those of us that don't possess such deep pocke...

Re: E85 Roadster #191 550K HKD
Curious how it's last UK reg is not showing it as Exported ... I never understand how that process is supposed to work. There are a lot of (long) DLVA delays with anything that requires paper forms to be submitted - covid strikes again - and I wouldn't expect that this type of vehicle export paperw...

Re: E85 Roadster #191 550K HKD
#191 has had 3 owners (not 0 as stated in the ad) - last sold in October 2019
Mileage seems about right though as its last MOT was at 11,211 miles in March 2019

Alpina RS Ownership Stats
I was sure I posted the info below back in May but can't find any trace of it... senility this way comes... ---- I've compiled a few, to me at least, interesting statistics on the Alpina RS that may be informative for anyone looking to purchase a 'low mileage' or 'low owner count' example as they he...
