Re: E91 B3S Touring #127

Thanks Ade. Keeping up the duty of care. Every time I wash it or park it anywhere I feel the pressure of preserving the condition it's been kept in over the years. Space grey is classy colour but I have been experimenting with Alpine White  . . IMG_2453.jpeg  Always knew you were going ...

Re: E91 B3S Touring #127

Nice pics, John, and well done getting rid of that small NSR ding: that had been on it since pre 2014! The last owner before me knew it was there, and with my mixed experience of dent removers, I saw fit to leave it for fear someone would cock it up. Your man has done well. Pleased to see you're sti...

Re: E91 B3S BiTurbo #114

The good ones should really hold their values, too, as the options elsewhere are unappealing for buyers: and I know there are plenty of interested purchasers for E91 B3SBT's when good ones hit the market. Do you know where the other E91 B3SBT (#072) is Ade, I've not seen any sign of it since 2013? ...

Re: E91 B3S BiTurbo #114

A real shame, and at least now we see why it's priced so low (assuming it's still £18.5k!). Their 'pressure selling' continues, then, and knowing from bitter experience how they prepare used cars, I'd be staying well away from it. The good ones should really hold their values, too, as the options el...

Re: E91 B3S BiTurbo #114

Ade sold #127 not so long ago and that went in a matter of days for what I imagine was a fair bit more than this. Granted that was 50k-ish miles but still, as a Sytner sale, apparently with warranty, it’s not bad in my eyes. Indeed. Condition, history, and further, condition, sold #127. She was, an...

Re: E85 Roadster S #168 (LUX)

Very useful Ade ... where would you put your money and likely to hold it's value i) B3 3.3 Cabrio (mint condition with low summer mileage) or ii) Alpina RS (well used) B3. I've driven one and it quite a pleasant place to be, and a better ride/handling balance than the Roadster, and minimal performa...

Re: E85 Roadster S #168 (LUX)

I messaged the seller and asked about recent history. He says it was last serviced by an independent Autohause Wershoppe in Coventry in July 2020 (but he can't find the invoice :o ), and claims an oil usage of 500-800miles/litre, suggesting it's running thicker oil. He does have the maintenance fold...

Re: E85 Roadster S #168 (LUX)

Because of the perceived cachet, the Z4M will always keep Roadster S prices at a lower point. They're also a better car and don't suffer the same basic Z4 issues which the RS does, and it doesn't have the awful, soulless electric steering the RS kept. That's ignoring the big elephant in the room: th...

Re: E85 Roadster S #168 (LUX)

Could be a nice car as long as the items around the car haven't scratched her :P As Ade mentioned the roof canvas looks like folding marks. To add if the owner has used canvas protection this can also show up. Agreed all round. I treated the roof with fabric protection, clearly over 10 years ago, n...

Re: E85 Roadster S #168 (LUX)

Roof is faded by drivers door plus history of regular maintenance will be interesting :boohoo I'm not sure it's faded. Probably the usual fold marks, plus poor lighting as all the pics are woeful. I've a full inventory of them, and as the owner after us garaged and covered it (with the cover we sup...

Re: E85 Roadster S #168 (LUX)

 :think Pricey :!: At least she still looks tidy! Not done many miles since we moved her on in 2013, so a thorough vetting of regular brake fluid, oil and filter changes is needed as some owners think it's optional on barely used cars. Brakes were virtually new, as was much of the car!, so unl...

Re: Santorini blue b3s biturbo coupe

Shame about the roundels, and no mention of the rather large "Off" at Goodwood :no To be fair, that accident is most likely not registered on HPI and unless the seller has been on here, they'll most likely be unaware of that part of it's history. Correct, it wasn't registered on HPi. They repaired ...

And while we're at it, the mis-matched grills should be an easy fix

I'd not read the description as the car looks so wrong I wouldn't be interested. But having just done so, I see it's had a full paint correction. Why bother when it looks like that?

Re: Cured PU foam removal

The chemical you can purchase (comes with an aerosol spray nozzle attachment along with the pro gun screw attachment) is acetone as Charles advised. Costs about a fiver for 500ml from well known high street stores like this https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-foam-gun-cleaner-500ml/60133 and is t...
