For me the best value for money would be to change the final gear ratio for a lower top end. You could have a 175 mph top speed and condense the power through the gears...massive bang for buck mod. ? The Morgan is longer geared than the B5S - I'd like their diffs swapped over giving the Alpina lowe...

A potential change of job will have me considering a daily-hack instead of putting excessive KMs on the B5s and/or Morgan.

I'm thinking something Swedish with comfy seats.

And do not confuse value with liquidity. Chances are that the rare premium spec cars (B6S with a good colour combinations and full lavalina) will be worth good money - the question is whether a buyer can be found willing to pay what is should be worth. Is it worth buying an Alpina to make money? Nop...

I get around 16mpg if only driving in town

My test "tank" in the B5S is 30mpg - which is bonkers considering what the engine produces and the car's weight.

Averages around 24-25mpg

The X3 passed its MOT (MFK in Switzerland) with 2 broken springs :shock: I had them replaced yesterday - transformed the car. It handles and (more importantly) massively better. It fact it can get hurled up the local hill and quite a lick - rather good run just flooring it out of the hairpins - not ...

Looking at the pictures I think it is because the stripes compress the panels - they take 75mm off the height of the side panels to the crease.

Given all the charger issues relating to 'a clean oil supply' I would probably have the oil and filter changed once a year regardless of km. Just to be on the safe side.
