White van man (a very large one) cut me up at a roundabout. Totally his fault. Hit the passenger side, smacked the suspension and took the nose off. Insurer wrote it off once they priced up the Alpina replacement parts. She was in beautiful condition. I was lucky that someone was incensed by white v...

Thanks for the responses chaps. #66 was declared a total loss on Monday so I'm bit grumpy. Damage was more substantial than was readily apparent.

If anyone knows of a decent B10 going for a reasonable price, do let me know otherwise I'll be in a garden variety BMW for the next little while!

minus #66

Hi Chaps, Please remove #66 (or Ellie as she was known in our house) from the list as she was declared a total loss by my insurers on Monday. I took a hit from a white van man cutting me up and the damage was: front bumper destroyed, ducting, wheel damage, rack damage and suspension damage. I'm obvi...

Accident assessors

Has anyone got any tips/experience with insurers/accident assessors? I had a white van man cut me up on a roundabout and hit the left front wing and rip the bumper and inner front wing off on Friday evening. I'm concerned that #66 might be judged a total loss as i dont think its going to be cheap to...

Just noticed the B5 gets free Alpina paint colours. Potential mistake? No doubt rectified when you receive your offer.....

On a related point, there are some good deals on leasing M5s. Is it possible to get good Alpina deals or does the rarity mean these are hard to come by?

No offense taken. I'm not sure your example of winter tyres is quite the same as the point I made but no matter. I think the point you are making is that you don't see why people reduce the amount of money they spend on consumables when the car's value decreases. Personally, I think its perfectly lo...

I had the head off #66 at Birds many moons ago (she was not well looked after by the previous owner) and she's on past 140 miles now.

Hope the refresh goes well.

I have 452's on the back of my B10. Value wise they are good and not noisy but I see the traction control light on much more often than with the P-Zeros assymetricos I had on before (wet corners, manhole covers, potholes etc). I'd be a bit wary of putting them on anything with more power than a 3.2/...

I've just had a set of PS3's fitted to the front. £170 each fitted and I got £20 off the kds (and I get the £50 petrol voucher). I may never buy another type of tire ever again. :D

18 inch Softline wanted

Hi All, Just found out that one of my rims (front 235/18 ) is buckled or to use the scientific term mentioned by the garage "shagged". Does anyone have a spare lurking in their garage that they could be persuaded to part from? Unfortunately the previous owner sold or lost the spare..... Many thanks
