Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?

Drove to Bavaria. This is the third Alpina I have owned and in which I have driven from UK to Germany for a holiday and I have enjoyed stretching its legs. Haven’t enjoyed the price of super 98 (or 99 or 100) but this is an awesome car for a European trip. Image

Re: D3 Bi-Turbo E92 2008, Off Side Rear Drooping

Hi Kiwi

I only just realised you were posting about number 111. I should have looked more carefully at your sig. That used to be my car - the one I mentioned in my post! Anyway, I am very glad to hear all is well with the car.

Regards
Simon

Re: D3 Bi-Turbo E92 2008, Off Side Rear Drooping

It is a long time since I had my E92 D3BT, but I had a similar issue with it. It was a 58 plate. I hadn't noticed the difference myself, but I took the car to Center Gravity to get the suspension alignment professionally set up, and Chris there pointed it out. However, he noted that the tolerance fo...

Re: F30-F31 19 inch wheels

Hi James

I assume, given the time since your original post, that you have managed to sell these wheels, but if not then I would be interested in buying them.

Re: M sport steering wheel on Alpina? (F30)

Swapping steering wheels is obviously a personal choice - my hands are not large, and I find an M sport steering wheel too chunky. I owned an F31 M340i for a couple of years with that steering wheel on it, and when I test drove what is now my F31 B3s, the first thing that struck me when I sat in the...

Re: F3X B3 S - fuel range on a tank

Hi Peetee The thing is, this engine is sublime, and so I don't begrudge it a little thirst. Having said that, my very first car, long long ago, was a Morris Marina 1.7, and that struggled to do 30 mpg! I think having a car now with something like five times the power, yet giving better MPG, is prett...

Re: Some photos of my F31 B3S

Ade and Liz, you are right, of course. Ynyslas, on the Dyfi estuary. And yes, it's a great drive there! Bob - you need to go back to April 1986 - their Countach vs Testarossa feature. And the location is the Dyfi estuary, Dyfed. The feature, and photos always stayed in my mind as being awesome. Nkot...

Some photos of my F31 B3S

Hello folks. I thought it was about time I uploaded some photos of my wonderful Alpina Blue B3S Touring. It's my third Alpina, and I think probably my favourite, although my first, the B10 3.3, is a contender too. I took these photos on holiday this summer. For those of you who are (very) long time ...

Yes he did. But DVLA have been very slow to sort out the paperwork because the car had been registered in Belgium. It's very frustrating for him.

Re: F3X B3 S - fuel range on a tank

I have an F31 B3s, which I have owned since March 2020. I haven't driven it as much as I'd planned to when I bought it, but I find my MPG is about 31 when I used the car day to day, and on a decent run, up to about 34. I haven't done a European trip yet (sadly - one of our plans had been that we wou...

Re: D4 biturbo number 204 FN66 WSK

Yes, my brother went to see it on Friday. He has decided to buy it. Apparently it’s been in France and or Belgium owned by a Brit who hardly drove it. My brother was happy with the car and the background. He has owned Alpinas twice before and I think he’s going to really enjoy this one.
