Ensuring the correct oil and specific filter I think are crucial to the life of the supercharger. The B5 uses a different filter to the 545 and it makes a difference to the delivery to the charger. Having said that mine let go under gentle acceleration whilst warm and the correct filter etc. It's an...

The other possibility is that our car battery is just at low voltage due to the car standing pre purchase and this is giving you lots of random faults..

Good luck and I hope you manage to get it sorted.

Drive up and down in a few tunnels with the windows down to make you smile!!

If like me you find yourself in the verge of a mid life crisis you may have found that you have begun to make involuntary noises at the sight of nice young ladies. I haven't taken up triathlons, wearing Lycra, having protein shakes for lunch or high fiveing anyone yet so I think I'm not too far into...

I agree with the earlier comparison with the financial impact of the cayenne on Porsche. This car will secure Alpinas financial future and enable it to then produce more small volume "proper" specialist cars with a smaller profit margin. Being a Landrover enthusiast I wrote in disgust about the conc...

I did wonder if Norrie had second thoughts yes !

It's such a rare car and to have exactly the same spec and mileage in a post facelift version does narrow it down!

Perhaps it's a sister car ?

Looks very nice

The 27k car is a post facelift car and is probably a B5s.

It's depressing how these garages have such poor knowledge and certainly makes me wary of how they look after them if they think they have turbos and the supercharger is the weakest point on the car!!

Choices choices......

John Cooper Works for sale

I've reluctantly put my 09 plate up for sale after the arrival of my baby daughter last week. That's 3 kids now so the JCW has to go I'm afraid. I'm after a b5 touring again! It's a lovely car with very high spec and has just had its first MoT, full service and brakes done. Wheels all immaculate and...
