B12 5.0 Portsmouth 05/06/23

I was buying an oil filter for my B10 at Snows BMW in Portsmouth today, 05/06/23. Parked outside the spares dept was an immaculate looking B12 5.0 in what I would call a dark gun metal grey, whatever that equates to. Private reg P*P 751. No photo unfortunately as I was asked not to take one as it wa...

Re: Question for B10 3.2 people

That is sad to hear Bob, I was hoping he would be back again one day.
It doesn't seem a lot of money either so hence why it has probably already sold, the listing appears to have been removed.

Hope all is well with you and your family.

I collected mine today! :dance
2 years today! How time flies. Still absolutely loving it - it's just the perfect car for me.
Congrats.
It's 20 years today for me with my B10  . Time definitely flies even quicker as one gets older.

Re: Sill plates/guards b10 e39 2000

Hi fastblueboy, You can buy them from the main dealer at a vastly inflated price compared to the BMW equivalents or possibly try doing what I have done to one of mine for the price of the standard E39 BMW part. See page 2 of the following thread, I need to attend to another one on my 98 B10 as it is...

Re: Question for B10 3.2 people

#63 is on eBay for £8500 and 224,000 miles. Looks good for the number of miles with previous issues appearing to be resolved.

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?

MOT time again for my B10 today, the 20th in my ownership if I include the one when I bought her at 4 years old. Once again a pass with no advisories :D , the only thing of concern as usual was the dreaded E39 handbrake. According to the tester the handbrake has to be 16% efficient or something like...

Re: Alpina B3.5 on Facebook

Sorry Bob, I never seem to make it easy for you when I spot a potential Alp :). I wasn't aware of the Distributors section on the Alpina Archive so that is something worth knowing. In the Facebook chat there is a mention of this being a B11! James, if you haven't already found it here is the Faceboo...

Alpina B3.5 on Facebook

My brother in law spotted this one on Facebook and I had a quick look using my wife's access. :) Buried in undergrowth with a B3.5 badge and likely to need some serious TLC (Identify this one if you can Bob ), I look forward to seeing more photos of it when it has been recovered. Also mentioned...

Re: Question for B10 3.2 people

Anyone know this one, looks to've had a lot of loving care to ensure it's survival for years to come? Nice work, this can't have been cheap: https://questccr.com/alpina-b10/ I know which number this one is but think it is down to the owner to reveal all if he or she wants to. It looks a superb qual...

After being for sale just a few months back as a private sale, #065 is back for sale with dealer and a £5k price hike. :?
According to my notes Bob #65 was up for sale earlier this month on Autotrader for £11995 at Project Torque Ltd, Solihull. I guess I didn't update this thread.

Re: Question for B10 3.2 people

So that is three 3.2 B10's currently for sale on ebay then Bob. That is a high percentage of the 194 saloons worldwide and even moreso with the UK ones. Yep, plus #189 is still on Autotrader too. As you say it’s a fair proportion of the original 62, but if you knock off known dismantled and exporte...

Re: B10 V8, No. 388

Interesting to see your B10 V8 next to B10 3.2 #63, have you any connection with that one or is it just a coincidence?

Your V8 looks great by the way, love the colour and stripes.

Re: B10 V8 - Washer jets

And here's one I prepared earlier, well about 2 weeks ago, definitely a relatively easy diy job. The new right hand pump is the one for the windscreen jets and the old left hand one is for the headlight washers. The other third pump is on the intensive wash bottle under the bonnet if you have one. M...

Re: Question for B10 3.2 people

Interesting to see #189 has a standard non Alpina gear knob Bob, the same as mine. Maybe the Alpina spec ones were optional extras? I have a yellowing fax copy of the order for my B10 so need to have alook at it, although I doubt it will be mentioned on it if the original BMW item was retained. What...
