Re: Alpina D5 thoughts / advice ?
I really like this, nice colour combo, LCI, lovely interior and one owner, which is always attractive. Looks like stickers has been put over the lettering on the front splitter, which aren't quite the right size and have been fitted badly. Looks wonky. Pirelli P Zero tyres, although premium and ALP ...

Re: F10 / F11 Front Control Arms
Where did you buy the replacement parts and did you fit them yourself. If so, was it straightforward? Hi Paul, Regards sourcing them - i was in contact with Frosty following a post of his some time ago where he replaced the same arms, i think the best option at the time was Autodoc but they couldn'...

F10 / F11 Front Control Arms
Having been told about slight play in the ball joints during a recent service, i decided to change all four front control arms. I went for the Lemforder arms on the basis that they make these parts arms for BMW as the OEM- photos below for comparison if anyone is interested. You can see where the BM...

Re: Trip over Buttertubs pass
Many years since i've been over there, absolutely awesome road, and great photos!
I used to enjoy the scenic run from Hawes to Nateby via Thwaite, Keld and Birkdale but not sure i'd do it in the Alpina.
Mores suited to a hire car with balloons for tyres but cracking scenery!

Re: Tyre and Brake advice please
Regards tyres i've just put 2 rear Michelin PS4S on mine at Kwik Fit (they've got a January deal on 10% off for 2-3 and 20% off for 4) Other than that i can highly recommend Camskill for mail order if you can get them fitted and balanced easily and cheaply yourself locally. In my instance this time ...

Re: Help - Selling my Alpina D5
See my post in general chit chat. Ah yes, that's a very interesting post John. I knew i'd seen it a while ago i just couldn't remember which section it was in! It is something on my list of to-do's as the car has crept over 100k recently, and although i like to hit the loud pedal on occasion it doe...

Land Rover Hybrid now apparently.
Agreed Simon, the intensity of a battery fire is certainly, well... intense!
Did anyone see footage of that electric bus going off in Bradford earlier in the week?

Re: Help - Selling my Alpina D5
I recently had my car serviced at a BMW specialist (Autohaus north of York) and asked about a potential future AT fluid service (and pan change because the filter is part of the pan) They said its much discussed because apparently ZF say the box is sealed for life, but Alpina list it as a servicable...
