Re: D5 S

Good point - they also had 700nm rather than 730nm. But the weight also jumped from 1870kg to 2020kg with the LCI, presumably due to the mild hybrid gubbins which provides some of the extra power. There were three years between my two but the only performance difference I noticed was the LCI had no ...

Re: D5 S

Now with James at Evolution - he is a good egg - such a lovely car and I think a reasonable price too.

Re: B5 GT Touring for sale?

Sale agreed on the website - this time last year there were a few B5s always available on the Sytner site but with no new order ones to trade in for now and the new 5 being such a munter anyway they look to be holding firm or even going up in value now.

Re: D5 S

The LHD only D5S touring actually a triple turbo making 408 hp and 800nm - same torque as the B5 - the saloon only RHD twin turbo makes 347hp and 730nm. The twin turbo has abundant torque for daily use, I never felt short changed compared to the B5 unless really pushing on. Shame they didn’t make a ...

Re: B5 GT Touring for sale?

Apart from all the questionable Marron Volciano bits the GT says GT on the plaque number and this doesn’t. It might be the one that Tier One had for sale around Christmas with 4500 miles - Bramley bought my D5s #250 from Evolution and used it for a month or two adding similar mileage before selling ...

Re: B5 on Collecting Cars

That’s good shopping Matt - an Alpina Green B5 touring is as good as cars get, you will love it.

Re: B5 on Collecting Cars

On the LCI B5 active cruise control with stop and go was standard, the driving assistant was £1030 and the driving assistant professional was £1495. Not sure about pre LCI but #340 touring had all sorts of cruise control related interference and I wished it hadn’t. To AbidK - SPG yes, it’s sun prote...

Re: B5 on Collecting Cars

No, but the rear in particular looks like the Nottingham valeters have been at it.
Nice spec bar SPG but the lack of care gone into the pics is a bit odd.

Re: D5S #250 - Relisted

Sale agreed yesterday on the Bramley website - it was only put up there on Saturday so two days isn’t bad.
It’s a wonderful car if there are no further paint issues but sadly I would be surprised if that turns out to be the case.
At least there are 15 months warranty left!

Re: D5S #250 - SOLD

Just seen it. Big money for that sort of money I think I’d rather a B5 touring if I could. Stunning car either way. I’m not so sure it is big money - although having decided to sell it quickly to avoid any lacquer peeling reappearing it’s up for a lot more than I sold it for! it was £65 list plus £...

Lovely and looks so much better with the silver wheels - I think this is the only B/D3 with laser lights?

It’s no Alpina but I like it.

Picked this up yesterday - having a very necessary Alpina break. Great build quality, mostly excellent ride, lovely interior - real dials, knobs for temperature, great seats quad (real!) exhausts, sleeper V8. Not researched the infamous understeer yet. 74CA69D6-72A9-4245-BCF7-7AC05FFD535F.jpeg 9DB1E...

Re: D5S #250 - SOLD

Lovely car. Now for sale at Bramley. @ JCC, what did you replace it with? It’s a story too long and depressing for an entire series of Jackanory, but coincidentally I collected an “interim” S6 Avant V8 yesterday. I will put a couple of pics under ‘My Car’ so as not to pollute here. An immaculate 8 ...

Re: G30 B5 with mixed tyres

Anyone surprised Sytner happy to sell a B5 with a brace of Michelins and a brace of Alp Pirelli….? Sums them up perfectly.
James (Evolution) bought my D5S #250, couldn’t have been nicer to sell my car to and I would very happily buy a car from him.

Yes, the alcantara steering wheel is a £400 option.
