Alloys sticking to hubs

Any recommendations for corrosion inhibitors to use on the alloy wheel/hub interface? My wheels seem to readily seize on during the salty season.
Considering two products, unsure of the wisdom.

Common Issues on all G30/G31

Two minor issues very common on G30/31 models, one esp' pre LCI apparently. Brunhilda’s active grille shutters jammed open, so a trip to Sytner Leicester was in order. After informing me they would need the car all day and only managing to do £99 worth of diagnostics the conclusion was the shutters ...

Notable Mileage

Collected the car from Sytner handover centre Friday 23rd October 2020. 1st Photo taken on the afternoon of Oct 24th, 2020, after a 140-mile familiarisation drive. Shows 8864 miles. Two years and two days later, Oct’ 25th 2022. Now showing 48864 miles. Put another way, that’s 40,000 miles of Cheshir...

Re: B5 Removal of BiTurbo letters on boot

I could find a use. My 5 has split and the rest haven't aged well. (Only 3 years!) If you want to part company with them PM me.

Talk about the surveillance society, Google got me too.
Unlike Marc's D5 Brunhilda just looks shabby and uncared for!

Paint Damage

Using a car as a daily covering a lot of miles means paint damage is inevitable. One has to accept this, but it makes it no less disheartening. Depending on grime levels I occasionally give the car a snow foam followed by a DI water jet wash with full valeting being reserved for winter road salt wee...

Liz Truss hints that she could axe motorway speed limits

Hmmm, I wouldn’t be unhappy to legally cruise along an empty motorway at 160mph+. My car is more than capable of doing such in a safe manner and remaining well inside its performance envelope. Given the std of the average British driver though I’m not sure I’d want to try it, as for finding an empty...

Re: F30 D3 performance

Go to https://www.thealpinaregister.com/powertorque and have a look at the curves.
There are plenty of graphs (stock and otherwise) google will find for the F30 330D.
Interesting reading.

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?

Had to show the pilot of a very nice looking 22 plate M4 convertible who's boss. I was as much surprised by the margin as he was deflated. Don't think his ego will risk taunting an Alpina B5 again. :D

Re: Stick or twist?

No where other than relative to where they are now for the next 7 years. Then demand for used ICE cars in general will push the price up briefly. Given the demise of the ICE, which won’t happen by 2030 IMHO, our cars will slowly become museum pieces and garage queens. Rarity will provide a bit of ad...
