Re: Selling my Alpina B5 BiTurbo

Thanks Metrics, I've gone over to the dark side, I have a Tesla Model X on order which arrives any time now. I thought long and hard about it - with the relatively short distances I have to travel from home and the huge tax incentives coming soon for all electric cars makes it a bit of a no-brainer....

Selling my Alpina B5 BiTurbo

So my B5 Bi Turbo has found a new home, I thoroughly enjoyed the car in the few months that I had it, and did some very enjoyable miles in it. I would like to share my experience of selling the car. After posting that it was going to be for sale, I was approached by James from the forum who said he ...

G30 BiTurbo Saloon

I have not had it long and while it is great to drive, both in comfort and for that occassional burst of exhilaration, I have had to face the fact that it just does not suit my needs. It was brought from Sytner earlier in the year and I have done 7,000 very pleasurable miles in it since. It will no ...

Re: E34 B10 possible purchase.

"The car is #8424"

Not sure if that was a typo as that number seems high to me, but assuming this is a BiTurbo and the number is right - if you get the car you may be interested in a reg I have - 8424BT ?

Lemme know if this is of interest :D

Re: Alpina Insurance - Help

I found my B5 at LV (and have insured it there 'cos it was the only site that would touch the LSD), but I had to look under BMW first and then Alpina if that helps at all...

Re: B3 / B5

I drive a green B5, and while it happened to be the colour it came in I do think it looks good and often get strangers comment on it. If I was going to be stuck on the South Circ on a regular basis I would be far more concern with having the adaptive cruise control that my car has - it makes traffic...

Re: F11 D5 BiTurbo #048

I called Sytner last week to enquire about the car, the sales guy I spoke to said they had "very strong" interest in it, and that someone in Wales (think he may have said Cardiff) was probably about to put down a deposit. That may have been their attempt at generating a feeling of urgency in me but ...

Re: F11 D5 BiTurbo #048

Thanks Metrics, will update when get chance, off to Goodwood this Friday if anyone is about? Hi Christian, did you ever get to see it - I'm toying with the idea of viewing but it is a long way for me to go and a wasted journey if there were any obvious issues that put you off and I could not live w...

Re: D5 Biturbo #049

I brought Sytner's B5 Press Car and it had a good spec (I think) - it introduced me to active cruise control and now there is no going back - it is a brilliant option, ironically at it's very best in slow moving heavy traffic.

B5 by night

I posted these a while back and then realised that the site hack meant they were lost so thought I'd put them back online as I thought they captured just how special Alpina make the inside of their cars

Not many more miles and up £1,400 from Sytner's last sticker price.
Well at least it is good to know that they are appreciating in price already

Re: Brake squeal

Thanks Norrie - I have already told them I have very little trust in the work their workshop carried out as I think they should have picked up on the pads as well - plus I had already advised them from the test drive that there was vibration at certain speeds which as far as I know is down to the bu...

Brake squeal

Hi Guys, I'm after a little bit of advice and the benefit of your collective experience. I recently brought a 2018 B5 (from Sytner Nottingham) and the day after it arrived the brakes began to squeal horrendously. This was not the way I wanted the car to turn heads, but it did the noise was so loud. ...
