TI am looking to change for an E46 B3.3......are they a better drive then the E36 ? Bit more power but i am not convinced by the 'softer look' of the later shape ? Views ???? The E36 is a better a drive than the E46. It's also better built, handles more neutrally, stops better, is lighter, more rel...

I wonder if it'll turn out to be another Passat R36? So late it missed the market segment, never mind the customer deposits, and arrives right at the beginning of the credit crunch and promptly tanks. I hope not, as the Scirocco is a nice looking bit of kit, and VW's styling flair and ergonomics rea...

Make no mistake - it's not the most exciting car to drive flat out, but it is much better than I ever expected it to be. My opinion is that as a compromise performance car, it's probably the best I've had yet - and it stands among some pretty illustrious company with the B3, 190E 2.3-16, and GSi3000...

I am now officially sub-zero.
And here's why - Prompted a little by Charles' other thread. So, the sartorial deity which is Clarkson has decreed that Volvo V70 (or just all Volvos, I wasn't sure) are sub-zero. Notionally, his justification is that they are so un-petrolhead that everyone assumes you know nothing about cars theref...

Useful to know. Also useful for you to know that The Fone Shack have a stash of batteries on the shelf. Do you want any? And I see that your Ikea wagon is now sub-zero - according to Clarkson. And I thought you were underground somewhere warmer! Yup, the Logic Engine, as it's now called, is indeed ...

Hmm, never mind the runway stuff. Prefer Italian mentalists myself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOfTd2l80n0 And the last of the great mentalists, Gigi Galli. The nuttiest of a very nutty bunch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naGHAUUeepI The one at 36 secs is legendary, and the man's car control is...

Great if it works, threaten to increase an area of taxation, and then at a stroke say it won't be increased. Hey presto Tax reduction. It's exactly the same method used on other policies which would be unpopular. Suggest something which will cause a riot and far in excess of your aims, then climb d...
