I have not spotted another Alpina since having to sell my D4 last December, and then see a D3/B3 in Guernsey of all places (max 35mph speed limit), on a local plate. Anyone on here?

Mystery solved

As this is the first car I have had which shows which gear you are in, eg D8, rather than just D for Drive, I have never noticed this before in Sport mode. If I press the selector button to get Sport mode, the display screen shows the picture of the car, and Sport. Also the gear display shows Sport....

I cannot see anything different, but what makes it worse is my phone works perfectly in our other BMW, and works sometimes in the Alpina.
Hopefully I will get to the bottom of it one day.

I have a strange Bluetooth problem, which hopefully someone can throw some light on. When I connect my mobile phone to the system everything is fine for 2 minutes, then the idrive shuts down and restarts. It will be fine for another 2 minutes, and then repeat the process.
