Re: E60 B5 S #482

It would be a big step up in performance and refinement. Best way would be to drive it over to Germany yourself. If it’s to be kept in Germany would a LHD not be more suitable?

Re: The missing B5?

Just depends on how many ordered the model. As they only sold 3 non S cars Sytners aren’t going to bother ordering some to promote it and hoping they sell!

Re: F31 D3 and Roadsters at Shelsley Walsh

Assess a week out depending on the forecast, Arrive about 8:15 for a decent place. We can arrange to meet up with any any other Alpinas too somewhere before to go in convoy.

Re: F31 D3 and Roadsters at Shelsley Walsh

I go quite often too. I was lucky enough to be picked to have the best modern classic last year by the marshalls and got a nice goodie bag. High praise indeed considering the metal that turns up at this place! These guys appreciate cars in all their shapes and sizes. A6F72EFC-7CB8-4B6D-8089-9EFF4681...

Re: Needed a new daily snotter to add to the fleet

I’ve been running a Subaru Outback legacy 3.0 H6 for a few years for this duty. It’s been annoyingly reliable despite me neglecting it. It refuses to fail to proceed or cost me money so can’t justify a replacement as much as I would like to. Even the air con is ice cold and seats super hot still whe...

Re: Alpina B5 F10 4.4

With a 9 year old car, service history, provenance and condition on inspection is more important than miles on the clock. I would have a car with 100k on the clock that has been well maintained and serviced than a car at that age with 20k on the clock with only 1 or 2 services under its belt!

I go there most Thursdays as it’s nice drive out for me but unfortunately I’m holidaying next week in Woburn so won’t be able to make it.🙄

Re: Alpina Scale Models

I’ve had a model of my B6s for awhile. I was quite surprised one existed at all as so few of these cars were actually made. There is most probably more models than real cars which is an odd situation!

Re: Maserati Gransport content

Just got back from a trip upto North Yorkshire to visit a friend. We had fun blasting around the moors until a snapped rear spring stopped play (the Aston not mine). The best MPG I have got is 24MPG on the drive home so not too bad but half that if being enthusiastic on B roads! Also managed a trip ...
