Before you do, perhaps get it 3D scanned and a couple of spares made up?
I don’t think it would be too much as there’s a guy on eBay selling 3D printed plastic inserts with wireless chargers for E90 centre console at £23.

Re: Audio / Sat Nav - To updgrade or not to Upgrade
I fitted the Android screen in my E92 and haven’t looked back.

Re: Bilstein Dampers / Eibach Springs For E46 B3
I fitted the Eibach pros to my pre facelift E46 325i with the SE dampers, the ride was too “crashy” for me with the 19” ACS 5 wheels but it looked good in the day (2007):

Re: E9X B3/D3 Headlight Refresh
Well that was a job and a half. I needed to jack up the front to remove the bumper, wheel arch liners and oil cooler ducting. Also remembered to catch all the washer fluid from the headlight washers. Whose idea was this?
Anyway all done now, short of a couple of washer jet cover springs.

Only thing I can suggest is 3D printing it, but you would need an original to scan.

Re: E92 B3 Biturbo 45K miles
Must be one of the best B3 Biturbos to go for that price and so quickly, I thought it looked clean, very low mileage too, barely run in as they say.

E92 B3 Biturbo 45K miles
https://jamesglen.co.uk/used-cars/bmw/a ... 60-ps-445/
Seems expensive as M3s with similar mileage go for around the same. Not sure of its build number but looks clean.

Re: How rare is the E92 D3 Coupe?
I’ve driven both D3 and B3 Biturbo E90 and E92. As a drivers car. I found the coupe has the best driving position as it’s lower down, the D3 is great as a GT and punchy accelerating around town with the torque. Overall for me the power the B3 is beyond the D3 on A and B roads out of town when it’s e...

Re: Timing Chain and Swirl Flaps
It’s all good news if you consider the damage the swirl flaps could have caused too. BMW claimed they fixed the issue with the E46, clearly a shrug off for the newer car owners, that’s extremely poor from them. The new chain has more oil journals in the links that throw around more oil which in theo...

E9X B3/D3 Headlight Refresh
I was a bit sceptical how well it would work, so I purchased a used set of headlights from eBay to try. I had a spare afternoon today so cracked on with it. I removed all the lamps and Xenon control box, covers, all the easily disconnected bits, then put the headlights in the fan oven at 80-100C for...

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Annual service and check up today with fresh Castrol 0W30 LL04 oil, oil filter and brake fluid. A general suspension inspection of B3 Biturbo and no excessive wear on any of the control or radius arms and the front dampers showing no leaks, not even any oil misting at 105k miles (rears were changed ...

Re: Tyre pressures
Not great, as different tyres of the same size perform differently sometimes to a slightly tweaked pressure. Also different pressures within tolerances suit different types of driving and conditions.
