Thank you for the kind words James, it has indeed been cherished and much tlc lavished on it.
Yup, front bumper due a refresh.. those pesky stonechips keep coming when you’re storming down the autobahn at 150...
Enjoy the car.

Re: E61 B5 TOURING #048
Thanks for the kind comments guys. It’s my car, have owned it for 5 years and been a regular on the forum.
Am aware LHD is a slight sticking point hence the pricing.

E61 B5 Touring #048
I just put my B5 Touring up for sale should anyone be interested. A German import in 2011. I deliberately kept the price below any other B5 for sale, with some margin, due to the LHD spec. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/10771197?cId=10712425&cId=10550449&cId=10773074&cId=10771197&cId=105787...

Re: The forum is back, and so is the B6
£4800 for a new charger! Ouch... I paid £2200 inc vat for mine in 2016 from a Dutch main dealer. It’s the same part whether it comes from the UK bmw network or the Dutch bmw network.. they all get it from the alpina factory... unfortunately BMW UK appear to think it’s ok to add a 100% mark up.

I use a Cooper dealer in Thames Ditton. They know my car now but when I have stuff done and know it will involve parts I just tell them the part numbers. All BMW dealers should be able to look after your Alpina with no questions asked or required. That is the dealer that fitted the wrong oil filter...

Point taken and it will be interesting to learn of the outcome of your Zimmerman order. I might just add that the vast majority of us continentals do speak fluent English.. it really isn't the dark ages anymore. With regards to the supercharger belt - I had to get one urgently from the Alpina factor...
