Re: What's happened to the Register?

Slightly off topic, but can we update the register ourselves or does it need to be carried out by the moderators? Admin does it but we have a backlog that needs clearing at the moment ...it must be some backlog... I submitted information and photos of #320 in 2012 and the details still haven't been...

Re: Number Plate Tape

I've used various brands of trim tape over the years without a single plate coming off. The last lot I bought was https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B076M3YYL8 and it's kept the plates on our X3 for just under 4 years - and the X3 lives outside as the Alpina gets to use the garage... You're p...

Re: Alpina D3 Touring Wanted - Is DPF Removal An Option ?

[Soapbox] Removal of a DPF is incredibly anti-social - they're installed for a reason and there's a potential fine of up to £1000 if they're removed. I, for one, hate following diesels that blast out huge amounts of soot as they accelerate. [/Soapbox] As far as an MOT goes - It’s illegal to drive a ...

Re: Locking wheel nuts Z4 Alpina

Good news that you got the nuts off (although a little disheartening to hear they are that easy to remove with the right tool!) The wheel bolt designs that just have an irregular outer surface have never offered much protection - the McGard ones with a smooth outer surface and rotating collar are m...

Re: Locking wheel nuts Z4 Alpina

There are some sockets that have a lot of little push rods that are supposed to fit misshapen or irregular nuts, I understand that some of these will work on keyed bolts Alternatively, the tyre changing places often have a variety of locking-nut 'keys' - if you have a spare 'normal' bolts, it might ...

... unless the Xenons were an aftermarket upgrade? They look like standard Z4 headlights... As an example, here's an image of the headlights & interior of a low-spec 2004 2.2 SE that's currently for sale - you can see the headlight adjustment wheel inside I just grabbed the front and interior image...

I like the lack of navigation screen.
I would miss the headlights and wind deflector upgrades.
It has the wind deflector - it's mentioned in the ad and you can see it installed in one of the photos. The boot mounting brackets for the deflector are also present

I was in Costco at the weekend and saw they are selling these or at least some that look identical. Didn't check the price though
Yes, they've had a quantity of the QuickJacks in CostCo at a reduced price

Still over a grand though, which is hard to justify even using man-maths

Re: Does anyone know Roadster #286?

At one time it belonged to a member on here called Burt

I saw it up for sale a couple of times in 2013, it had 51k miles on it then - and was around £1500 less than the current asking price

It was advertised again in late 2016 for £16k with just under 60k on it
