I'm very envious. :) You mention that it sounds good. Is that 'good for a diesel' or good fullstop? The engine sound is the only drawback with performance diesels in my book, if they have fixed that then I'd take this over a B3. Agreed. The noise a car makes on start up / under load is VERY emotive...

Some good pictures and details there. Exhaust different from XD3. I wonder whether it will still be an Akrapovic system? Can't quite make out from the exhaust tips in the You Tube clip Mac linked. I guess there'll be an upload to the Alpina You Tube channel soon enough. An intriguing car that, look ...

Re: BMW Extended Warranty Alpina owners being riped off !!!!
My BMW Extended Warranty renewal for my Alpina B3 Bi Turbo is due end of August. For 1 year comprehensive £860.48 (about 3% up from last year). Very interesting as I'm in exactly the same place. Warranty expires 31st August. The renewal price offered is....................£860.48, for a '61 plate...

A similar thing happened to me on a newly resurfaced dual carriage way resulting in damae to, windscreen, bonnet & badge. I'd had a quote for paintshield but alas didn't take it up. Any new car I get, the paintshield protection is on it without doubt. What with the amount of motorway miles I do the ...

If you subscribe to AlpinaAutomobiles You tube channel then you've already seen these two, and the other 4. If not then worth a look.

Well car was serviced on Monday and I have to say it was pretty much the best dealer experience (sorry if that sounds like marketing speak) I've had in years. Recent experience of MB,Audi,VW was woeful. Also got to see some fine machinery at the sales site. M3 LE, White with black wheels & tan leath...

Kenny - the new A class AMG is 4wd solely because a FWD car couldn't handle the torque that AMG want to put through it, and as MB are not at the forefront of FWD technology (to be nice about it), 4wd was a simple way out of that engineering issue. MB has had 4wd mainstream cars since the eighties -...

That does look fantastic from all angles especially IMO the shot of the back end. Could it be a car that does it all? Still retains a certain amount of Q car about it, well until that Akrapovic gets hold of the gases. I wonder how the ride will be on 20"? Will it rely on the idrive adaptive setting...

Ouch! I hope you are on the road to recovery now. Well I have a story that contains both clips & pushbikes. So on shiny new carbon fibre roadbike & i'm clipped to said machine via cleats & pedals. Coming up to a T junction and still relatively new to the whole attachment thing the car in front brake...
