Spotted in SW London this morning by my son, he texted and said how odd to see another B10 like mine (same colour with a B10 ref)

Re: Alpina B10 V8S Brake Retrofit
Cheers Simon, I found the old thread and even posted on it
I still fancy doing the brakes at some stage but currently replacing every hose in the cooling system, then I ended up with the manifold removed so found quite a lot more to replace!

Re: Alpina B10 V8S Brake Retrofit
Nice, I had the option of picking up some genuine V8s calipers a while back but they didn't have the mounting brackets and I also found out Alpina were unwilling to sell me them! I must be blind but I don't see the mounting brackets in your extensive list of parts?

Re: B10 V8, No. 388
I didn't lube the main inlet seals at all, just made sure everything was as clean as I could manage carefully using BH Surfex and some cloths. I did use 'fogging oil for men' on the 'O' rings and various smaller seals.

Re: B10 V8, No. 388
Cheers Kenny, I'm still working through this!
Once I knew the intake manifold was coming off I decided to replace most items similar to you. I was surprised how oily the underside of the manifold was on the front end as there's no visible sign of oil on any of my engine. I've also decided to ...

Re: B10 V8, No. 388
Busy day today, managed to get the 'quick release' :woohoo: under bonnet fuel pipes off without killing them. Much wiggling later and off came the inlet manifold. A couple of the rear vacuum pipes suffered during the process :smash: but the plan is to replace the whole ccv system anyway.

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
The B10 has developed a very small coolant leak, after a reasonable length drive I'm seeing dried white powder spotted around the arc of the viscous fan so I'm gonna pre-emptively replace all hoses along with expansion tank and water pump. I've toyed with switching to the 88 degree thermostat but it ...

OK, Best of luck if you can order them. I was just trying to help with my experience but it won't be the first time Alpina have given out contradictory info!

Re: Need Help Ordering B10 V8S Parts
There were some V8s calipers for sale on eBay a year or so back without the mounting brackets and Alpina responded to my request stating the brackets were only available to order with the calipers….I think your best bet will be to get custom brackets made up!

Re: E39 B10 V8/1 #81
Not sure why but that pic turned out a bit crap! Having said that, this is the third carplay upgrade I've had done but this time I chose not to replace the OEM screen where as with the previous two I did and the screen quality is better. Barris was out of stock of new screens and as this one didn't ...
