Re: E34 red B10 #8036

I'm pretty sure this is the car that was for sale down toward the Hampshire/Dorset area last year that started about £10k and was gradually reduced to £8k before the advert disappeared from ebay and autotrader. The seller at that time was quite honest that it had been off the road for some time and ...

Well good luck, what ever you decide to do.

Oddly, I used to work for Peter Blacks in Keighley.

Re: E36 B3 3.2 Cabrio #83

Hello gents, seldom visit this great forum since I sold my B3 3.2 Coupe E36 in 2012 (with regret), 8 years and many cars later, I still have a soft spot for the B3, more specifically the E36 3.2. Base line is: I am very interested in this car given it is a late car 1999 and Estoril blue cab. I did ...

Re: Help with Alpina history

It all depends on condition and mileage with old BMW E34's now; a genuine Alpina and M5's are all through 5 figures now but it remains to be seen whether any others will go much beyond 6 or 7k for even the best cars. Manual 535i's and 540i's demand a little more and manual 540i Tourings were very ra...

Re: Help with Alpina history

Calypso is a great colour on an E34 - but as Dave says, but if you're going to get it, buy it priced as a 540i with Alpina wheels, not an Alpina car.

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?

I collected it from Lee Shannon. Broke down on the M40 last Friday  . All sorted now. Nice to see Kevin Hills B10 and B12 in there getting some serious TLC. :D :D :D Ahh, I popped in yesterday and saw your B3 - lovely. It is my B12 but not my B10 - both my B10's are Tourings - that silver...

Re: Help with Alpina history

For a car made at the Alpina factory in Buchloe you need both full chassis numbers to get Alpina parts except those items listed as accessories, eg wheels, spoiler etc. I think for one of the UK made cars you need the full plaque number and full BMW chassis number. Are you still buying the car? It m...

Re: Help with Alpina history

Sorry Richard, absolutely a badge up job and not a genuine Alpina. For starters it wouldn't be badged as a 'B10 V8' at that age and secondly there were only two right hand drive E34 saloon cars fitted with V8 engines and they are both well documented, with Alpina plaque numbers known, and are silver...

Re: E36 B3 3.2 Cabrio #83

I can’t stop looking at the advert and imagining a full restoration back to its former glory. It would never make economic sense, but would bring a great deal of satisfaction. It doesn't make economic sense at £12k+ at todays values, but there's only 32 of them... So if it was 50-75% of that price ...

Re: E39 B10 V8/1 #163

So the dealer has sent a video (link below). One thing I am confused on, if it has the Professional Nav, etc did that not come with Bluetooth for Phone as the controls are on the steering, this has Parrot System fitted? https://video.citnow.com/vtMwX0t4DK8 Also upon reading the Sytner Select Warran...

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?

Well done Kevin, piling on the miles in lock-down? Daily driver and work wagon Drew; well over 6k this last year but 11k the year before. It's looking a little careworn as nearly all 20 year old E39's are now and when it all works it's simply a fantastic motorcar. The Touring is the pinnacle Alpina...

Re: My G31 B5 Touring has arrived....NOW WITH A FEW PICS!

Lovely looking car - I have it's great, great Grandad - the E34 B10 4.6 Touring. I can only wish to ever get into something as special as a new Alpina B5 Touring.

Re: My G31 B5 Touring has arrived....

It’s simply a matter of physics that the higher the pressure the stiffer the tyre becomes and the harsher the ride. Look at the door plate which will state the pressures for different conditions and loads and run at the lowest permissible and then add some air if going to the autobahn or with full ...

Re: Information for B10 V8S owners

That pipe is listed in the B10 V8/V8S parts catalogue so anyone paranoid about any Alpina specific parts for your model will find them there....I don't see the lower temp thermostat there :) I know I'll get flamed for disagreeing but as long as your cooling system is in good order I don't think the...
