Can you provide a link? The register doesn't have a section for B2.8 and the BMW designation list doesn't seem to be working...

Interesting. I'm toying with the idea of selling my 34k miles B9 coupe (the only known rhd manual) and that's the figure I would ask. A mint restored m635 sold at the nec last year for 60k but I think it's fair to say the market has otherwise softened. Nonetheless, if you want a mint B11, there it is.

B3 and B10, Newport South Wales.

I work in an office of approx 1000 people and in the past week have seen a blue e46 B3 and a black e39 B10 in the car-park. Anyone here? Along with the occasional visit from my e24 B9 this is a good alpina per capita!

Where do they get the prices from though? £14k seems very high to me for a B2.8.
Probably from the Henna red car with 30k or so that sold privately on Pistonheads a couple of years ago for about £8k (IIRC) and was then 'flipped' for double that by a specialist...

E28 B2.8 on ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1985-BMW-528-B28-Alpina-Classic-1-owner-only-63k-miles-very-rare-Superb-vehicle-/290905087817?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item43bb4b5f49 Nice, but a shame it's lost the wheels. The description seems a bit embellished to me too... 240bhp? Maybe they really did rebuild the engines...

I'm sure this sold a few years ago on eBay (how many are there with that many miles?) for 3k+. If so it was a good investment! Price seems ludicrous given the few apparently clean b9 saloons that are struggling to shift at 10k.

Fritz's bits for the exhaust. My b9 gained over 10% power with their system and manifold.

As an auto, with the bits you describe that need doing, I'd say £6-£8k. The history is nice. If it was mint, with that history, Probably £15k+

All IMHO of course.

B9 saloon E28

Looks good in the pics - and how rare are those seats??!!

Seller is very frank about the structural work needed though. Sounds quite a bit to take on.

carandclassic.co.uk is worth a go. It's free and seems to be very popular for classics in Europe.

Is it a saloon or coupe? What's the spec?
