RE the roof motor, look on the Z4-forum. There are a few guys that will relocate your roof motor into the boot (unobtrusive, at the side, behind a panel). They can also resurrect a failed motor in many instances. Cost for relocation, which doesn't involve removing the roof, is around £80 for a coup...

Oh, and I noticed a difference - less skittishness on tight corners. For a standard daily drive there wasn't much difference, but if you push it in a corner, it definitely felt more controlled.

I have the BMW once, fits nicely (although I would prefer it to be black anodized rather than shiny stainless), easily clears the oil cap, and there is no contact between engine and brace (or bonnet/hood and brace) - there is about 1 - 2 cm gap.

I once put an aero spoiler on a Saab using the Saab adhesive - that was never coming off ! Be careful on the alignment when replacing

Hey Mick - IIRC mine is held together by a double sided adhesive, but is below the top lip. It was split to respray (and had the plinth done at the same time ) and I cant remember seeing any clips/screws. I can have a look at the weekend though.

Mine was resprayed 18 months ago, looks much like Perry's (funnily enough )
