Hello from another member in Suisse Romande. Sadly I'm still without Alpina since I left the UK :(

Just one tip if you run on 10W60, if you ever nip over to France then take a good reserve with you. My Ghibli takes 10W60, but when it needed a top up it was impossible to find any.

on another related note, doesnt scotland have the most alpinas per capita in the world? I reckon Switzerland's in for a good shout. Last year, 50 Alpinas were sold in the UK, 61 in Switzerland. around 8M people in Switzerland, and at any time there are around 80 to 100 used Alpinas for sale. That's...

Wasn't that when you had a courtesy car and took it for a run and spotted another Alpina just along the road from this one? IIRC you were very impressed with the fuel consumption! :D Wow, you have a memory like a woman!! That was May 2012 and there was a B3 living up the same street (didn't see tha...

It would be interesting to see what the breakdown is per country. The figures stated on the register for the UK over the last few years are: 2007 = 329 2008 = 174 2009 = 162 2010 = 157 2011 = 135 2012 = 54 2013 = 50 The declining trend is despite there now being a record 8 variants to choose from r...

I like this rule. Once it becomes clear how expensive cars powered by house warming oil actually are, people will switch to petrol  On a more serious note, DPF's are there for a reason. Whether you agree or not with all the global warming stuff, it can only be a good thing to remove canciro...

I don't know if you've ever used Comparis to search cars, they have a very nice feature that follows the price of individual cars over time. The green B5 one has been advertised for over 4 years and seen its price go down from 78800 to 39900. http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/6648/nx4w.jpg
