Re: B10 v8 for under 7k

It didn't have the spoiler when I owned it but it did have the mirrors. If I remember correctly, the guy owned it after me (supercharged_steve on here) put V8S brakes on it and upgraded the wheels to 19s.

Interesting that the plaque isn’t numbered - is this a US market thing?
I believe that US cars are sold as BMWs, rather than as ALPINAs and so the Buchloe numbering isn't applied
They will also carry a BMW VIN not an Alpina one

Re: How to spec a 7 series...

This particular model is a special edition. 100 have been made globally but there are 11 RHD cars with only 3 coming to the UK. All are Centennial Blue with a Smoke White Merino leather interior. There's a little more detail here... https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/united-kingdom/article/detail/T02594...

Re: rear plate lights not functioning - fix

Had something similar with a fog light on a 5 GT and that was an muddy funster of a job as you have to get both bits of the boot open at the same time - something it was never designed to do :D :D

It's not got 28k on the clock. Went through an auction in Japan in April with 145,562 km (90k miles).

I would think that the fact that it's a Gran Coupe would be the biggest indicator.

Ah croxys old motor
I remember he had the rhombus added as it was a delete option and had specially alpina commissioned clocks in mph and blue 200mph
Great to see it again
Thanks
I seem to recall that he removed the clocks before it went to salvage and tried to sell them for a four figure sum.

I’ve found another one, this time an even rarer D7 in Silver.
The owner is regular contributor on the E65 FB page.
