And that's what I paid last time.
So the thought of replacing the 2 rears or even all 4 tyres was not a pleasant one. I was expecting not much change from a grand.
That's when Mark reminded me about Micheldiver Tyre & Auto Services, based in Winchester. Irfan and Rich had also mentioned it to me last time - but I had to replace the tyre there and then so didn't ring them.
So this time I made a point of ringing them first. I was quoted £188.62 (inc VAT, inc fitting) for a rear tyre (265x35ZR18) and £165.12 (inc VAT, inc fitting) for a front tyre (235x40ZR18).
Winchester is a bit of a trek from Nottingham and so I also enquired how much it would be to mail order the tyres. £696.18 for next day delivery for all 4 tyres. I haven't priced up fitting yet but that is a lot cheaper.
Even though I haven't bought anything from them it is definitely worth a look:
