BMW says it harbours no plans for an M-powered Z4 and will instead throw its weight behind the new Alpina two-seater badged the Roadster S
The Roadster S has a 3.3litre engine with 300bhp (up 69bhp) and can reach 0-62mph in 5.3secs (vs. 5.9secs). Top speed is 168mph (up 12mph). The car sits on 19inch alloys.
Also on show was the Alpina B7 it features a supercharged version of the BMW 4.4litre producing 500bhp (167bhp up on the 745i). The car can reach 62mph in 5.5secs and has a top speed of 186mph.
