Badge or debadge
I've gotten the recommendation to debadge my Alpina.
So far, I've kept all badges on, so that everyone knows that it's not just another tricked-out 320d.
What do you think?
Have you debadged your Alpina? Why?
Or why not?

I'm with Bruce:
ALPINA and proud of it.
For those who know then they can be interested and for those who don't then they can learn or ignore.
Additionally, I always have to think about debadged cars - why has it been done etc - rather than seeing what it is in the first place. As such, debadging actually attracts my attention rather than diverting it.

Badges are a must, just looks Class and gives the car that Special ALPINA touch. I dont have front Decals or stripes but each to there own on that one. I do like them, i'm just not sure weather to have them on or not!!!!!
I remember when I first spotted an Alpina 6 years ago. It was on the A41 around Watford, I owned a e39 m5 then, not long after that I onwed a B10 v8 . The badging took my eye straight away LOl.

Surely you bought the car because it was an Alpina so why de-badge it.
On the flip side of the coin I have "BADGES" who badge up cars to make them appear something they are not.

I debadged by 535d, which led to a lot of have-a-go numpties thinking it was a 520d or smthg. The D3BT replaced the 535d and initially I wanted to remove the spaghetti badging on the back. The reason being, not understanding really what the brand stood for. Im glad I didnt remove the badges, Alpina is no ACS/Halfords drive by stick on tat, what it is, is a thoroughly engineered car brand and as good as any "M" car IMO. And for those that know, know, and for those who dont, I dont care!
