Rear springs rusty b10 v8

Post by T8ono » Sun Jan 06, 2019 11:51 am

Hi all
I need to replace the springs at the rear of my b10.
What should I be looking for?
Obviously alpina originals are too expensive. Anyone changed theirs?
Advise would be appreciated.
Thanks

Eibach made the springs for Alpina including the E39 B10 so you could use a set of eibach pro it springs for fraction of the cost. They are very similar in terms of ride height.

I just fitted a set for a customer with a B10 that had a mish mash of Sport springs on the front with Monroe shocks, Alpina springs on the rear with tired alpina socks.

All of it replaced withe Eibach pro kit springs and Bilstein B6 shocks for a 3rd of the cost of all new Alpina.

but are you replacing because they are rusty only? If so have them off, get them cleaned and repainted/finished and put them back on.
