I took out the B5 BiTurbo Touring yesterday which will be available for viewing and test drives at the weekend here! What a car! Smashed M5 in my opinion!

I popped along for a couple of hours and chatted to Dan (can't remember his surname) and Robbie who are both great guys. Dan took me out in the B5 - ooh mumma!! Relentless is the word I think best describes it.

I saw two D5S, an E90 D3 BT saloon for sale, Dan's E91 D3 BT an E31 B12 5.0.

James

Correction, I have just done some digging and the B12 5.0 is actually a tricked up 840 from what I can see.

Hi, it was me who took you out in the B5 haha. I did wonder if that was a copy the 8-series! Shame!

Thanks Danny, it was a thrill to be out in it, so thank you. Nice to see that much of the power can still be delivered in the peeing rain :D/

Hell of a machine and I would rather have that over the new 8 even though it is a nice car.

Thanks again Sir

James

I drove the B5 on Sunday at Harold Wood. Met Robbie for the first time (really nice bloke). The B5 is a truly fantastic car with the comfort, power and looks that only Alpina seem able to combine in one package. The driving experience was exceptional and I have decided that I want one. Do I need one? Of course not but I don't really need a flat with 3 bedrooms either, but I have one. I drove the new M5 Competition recently (which is the car I really wanted), then I drove the B5. How can I compare the two as they are both fantastic cars? Here goes, One is Andy Murray and the other is Roger Federer. 'nuff said.
