E46 Mk4 DVD Navigation Firmware

Post by Rav » Thu Aug 16, 2018 12:20 pm

Hi All.

My car has this installed and I have recently updated the firmware to try and get the unit working. The firmware update worked ok, but the system still doesn't work. I presume that the laser requires replacement and will embark on this voyage and document as I go, on this very forum.

Can anyone help me to change the logo on the startup screen? It used to come up with the BMW logo and "BMW" underneath before the firmware update and after i only the the BMW letters.

I would love to have the Alpina logo instead.

Can anyone advise?

I've knocked up these for a few people - including Chas and Ade on here

Drop me a PM with your email address and I'll knock you up a MK IV (v32) firmware with a customised splashscreen

I've got some generic ones but it's a bit nicer to have one personalised to the car...

If you have the time, you can go as far as you want with the personalisation - the one I did for Ade's Roadster S #168 had a photo of his car, plus his name and postcode on it.
