Thanks Asim, at least it is definitely going in the right direction at last.
My old girl passed her 16th mot with me, again with no advisories. Not bad for a 20 year old car.
I was lucky though, as since then the air bag light has come on and shows it is due to a supply voltage issue. Also the horn is intermittent and I have had a problem setting the alarm. I am still convinced it is due to a faulty ignition switch and I am in the process of getting a new one. Until then she is staying in my garage.
