2005 Alpina B5 #61 Black
2005 Alpina B5 #61 Black
Hi guys we’ve just acquired a 2005 Alpina B5 #61 and was wondering if any previous owners are on here?
The car has come to us with very light frontal damage from an insurance company, it’s currently in the body shop having the damage sorted. Wing, Bonnet and a headlight.
What would you guys value the car at considering it’s now listed as a Cat N
It’s currently done 126k with full service history, last service at 124k
2 keys, Wheel Hub keys ect
Currently has black wheels which will be getting powder coated back to original silver along with the black grills going back to chrome.
Our aim is to put the car back totally standard as it should be.
Regards Ryan

I know it was previously up at circa 17k Manchester way on but of course now with the insurance marker would change it value
Yes pls put the silver rims back on it had horrid smoked rear light and it didn't have the rear badges I think if you put it completely stock you will have a better chance of selling it
Also details of service history will help

I also found that advert looks like that was 2000 miles ago.
Silver wheels is a given. The smoked back lights where the first thing I have removed luckily was only a vinyl.
Badges are in the car but have been painted black so I’ve ordered new ones, along with chrome kidney grills
Service wise it’s fully stamped up will double check what’s actually been done on each one.

Considering it sold 2000 miles ago which I reckon going of the history was around 12 months ago for £17,000hap wrote:Have you a price in mind Ryan? Just in case anyone on here is looking
Also taking into account it’s now going to be listed and the money I’m going to put into it making it look like it should do again.
I think I’m going to try it at around £14,000 and go from there
Regards Ryan
Seems a fair starting point assuming the repair is of a good standard
Big things with these motors is the supercharger and incorrect oil filters being used maybe worth checking what paper you have see if it been changed
An engine pic will allow the more knowledgable to confirm if that is original or been changed

Ohh it will be of good standard, I’ve a 1998 M3 Evolution that he’s painted for me a few years back and it’s 100% bang on.hap wrote:Seems a fair starting point assuming the repair is of a good standard

Once it’s back from the paint shop I’ll get some photos of the car and upload them
Looks like you have the original supercharger (or older style at least), this may well change potential buyers view on the car as most are on the newer version by now. consider it a ticking time bomb as most buyers will, and assess any purchase price accordingly IMHO..
Do you have any evidence of a replacement being fitted and if so at what mileage/date?
Also do you have evidence of which oil filter part number was fitted at each service as these are important points to check when buying/selling one of these cars.
