E39 B10 V8s wanted

Post by Zion » Tue May 29, 2018 5:38 pm

Hi,

I am looking for a B10 V8s, in very good condition and ideally low mileage. Having owned 2 in the past, both of which needed reasonable amounts of restoration / work, I’m now looking for a well cared for example.

Please PM me if you are thinking of selling - I am willing to pay highest market rates.

Thank you,

Z

I’m looking for a car in better condition. Also I was never really happy with the colour!

Good luck with the search!!

Not many out there at the moment.

We went to see 037 - and it certainly needs a bit of TLC now, which we were neglected to be told before the 7 hour round trip.

It's even running on non Brembo brakes - which whilst expensive, is kind of the USP of the car (amongst other things).

I expected not to like the colour though - but it certainly looked great in the flesh!! Even my wife liked it - and she can be super picky, lol!!

She wants saving - the car that is!!!

What brakes is it running Alex? Standard 540i brakes?

Good luck with the search Zion, finding a mint V8S will take some searching. Thought about a Jap import?

Limited choice at the moment, only 2 for sale currently that i know of, and I presume you've already seen/discounted them from earlier posts and the fact they've been around a while:

B10 V8S #037

B10 V8S #114 [Jap Import]

There was also B10 V8S #126 which appears to have sold on ebay at the beginning of June, but that didn't meet the brief as it was a bit rough looking and LPG converted.

I'd go for #037 because it's a one off being a 4.9 :)

I owned 37 previously and it needed a lot of work and looking at it that hasn’t been done. Plus i didn’t like the colour. The other one is LHD and the price is well beyond market rate....

That's interesting, if I was in the market for a V8s that advert would tick the boxes for me so what sort of work are you talking about?

It needed a full interior refurb, suspension refurb, paintwork, and more...it looks like at a minimum the interior needs doing.

Anyway, I never really got on with the colour!
