They are from dealers with warranties
Difficult to put a price on one of these especially being a rare Touring too

Springs and dampers are 1k from FMW. Brakes you can do for a little less than 2k all round. Big service isn't so bad...the spark plugs for example are £70 or £220 from main dealer.

But yes a B5 does cost a little to run...it's worth it i think...but am I not right in saying that the front brakes on the B10 V8S are more expensive than those mounted to the B5? Seems the B5 is more bemoaned than any other Alpina. Does a B3 3.4S not need a new head gasket every 80k? An M car will need conrod shells eventually, maybe boot floor repair or SMG pump...perhaps all three. And a B5 is certainly cheaper to run than a V10 M5.

Also to consider, brothers M4 needed 41k of work after engine failure...
