It drove lovely on the test drive. Been after an Alpina for a while and always try to buy a decent example when I can.
The car is a B3S build number 10. It was a Sytner demo for 3 months then sold to its only other owner. It has full BMWSH inc running in check so appears to have been well looked after.
Will update with pics when I collect

Yes I managed to negotiate a very good deal. As good as the car is I dont think it was quite worth what they were asking.

That really is no surprise: and no judgment of the car implied by this comment. Enjoy your new car 8)

Picked it up today and very pleased with it. Few little niggles to sort including both front centre caps rattling but nothing I cannot sort in time.

Congratulations on your purchase. Enjoy

Yeah good thanks. Just been treating the leather today as it felt a little dry, it really is in good order for its age though.
Just a few niggly little things to sort on it but nothing major.
Going back to Sytner at some point to sort some paint on one of the sill trims, replace a cracked indicator and sort some corrosion on the underside of the mirrors, usual M3 mirror issue.
One thing that has annoyed me a little is the crack I have found in the wood trim above the glovebox. Looks like it has been off at some point in the past and it has cracked when removing it. Did no notice it when I bought the car or collected it. It is not massively obvious but I know it is there and keep looking and seeing it.
Anyone know of one going spare to replace it or best place to look for one?
I need to post some pics. I used to use Photobucket but I think all the links have been stopped. What is the best way to get pics up?

Sorry to hear of the niggles.
At the price you paid I'd be pressing Sytner to sort that cracked wood trim. Patina is to be accepted but a cracked piece of trim is a fault.

If no joy try here:

http://www.silvercrest-woodtrim.co.uk/woodtrim.html

They will be able to restore it for you and importantly, be able to get the shade right.

Photos - I use flickr and it works well.
