e63 B6 values

Post by B6lief » Thu Feb 22, 2018 1:26 am

Hi all,

I am looking for info on the expected used price of the e63 B6 coupe. I have searched this site but haven't seen much information on the value of this car. I have one in my sights which may be up for sale soon but absolutely need to make sure it priced appropriately.

I understand a car is only worth what people are prepared to pay for it, but what should one expect to pay for it?

Thanks in anticipation.

It looks pristine, black with red leather, not got full spec details looks like it comes well equipped. Has some Sytner history I'm told and has been garaged for about five years so mileage is currently at 54k genuine as per vosa. Supercharger miles? Would that be the same as mileage?

So #005 by the look of it. For Sale 8 years ago for £35kish. It has a nice spec with Lavalina leather etc. The supercharger may have been changed by now. I would be a little worried at that mileage and age if it is still the original but these things aren’t set in stone.
The last B6 coupe that was for sale went from a private sale at 24k then onto Sytners for £30k onwards to an independent dealer for £35k! Probably sold for low £30’s. That had about 30k on the clock I think last year. The drivers bolster was worn which was odd given the low miles mind.
The spec wasn’t as nice as the one you are looking at I think.
As a private sale I would say between £25k to £30k depending on the history and the age of supercharger. This of course is just one persons opinion.
Is this the one you are after?

I echo Phils sentiments on price, realistically somewhere between £25-30K

All B6's are special and being so rare you take what comes to the market at the time or you may wait a long time for another, the interior colour is not my cup of tea, but then mine isn't either, as I want Phils!

Some of these cars are advertised at a real premium. Forgive me if these are all Vert's. I remember Les' (Winnie) B6 being up for £35k before Sytner got it and then sold it to Les with warranty and a number of bits sorted at a more modest sum. Phils was sold originally around £21-2k, but by all accounts was not in great shape and had 110-120k on the clock iirc, it then resurfaced at Synter about 10 months later advertised at £28k iirc, Phil then aquired it with a BMW approved used warranty, which he has made good use of and Phil has worked on it like a trooper to bring it up to spec. There is the coupe that Phil mentioned above, no idea what it sold for, a B6s coupe was sold up North a couple of years back and that was up for £33k at a Speciliast dealer, but can't remember the mileage.

When I bought mine 3 years ago it was up for 28k, but negotiated it down a bit from that, particulalry as there was no BMW warranty coming with it, it had 84k on the clock. So far, touch wood, no major issues, but at least I know it had a supercharger fitted @ 17K.

The only concern I would have is it being stored and not used for 5 years, would need a thorough check over by somebody who knows these cars.

Good luck with the proposed purchase and welcome to the Forum.

I have had a couple of conversations with the seller however haven't had a chance to go see it yet. Apparently it will be going up for sale soon so it could be fair game for all!

Was it a black/red #005? Would be interested in seeing this article wonder what they made of it.

Managed to get the pics to upload at last. Not the best quality but squint enough and you can read it. Seems to be warmly received I would say. 8)
