E46 passenger electric seat not working

Won't slide back or back rest won't move
Can hear the button clicking only ?
Any ideas pls

Update looking under from rear passenger one of wires or 2 has snapped

It's the wire that fits in the plug
Looks like be soldered n shrink wrapped with electric thingy rubber
Strange as I rarely use that side but I guess 13 years on it's had it my garage did have a quick look n said may need to bypass the plug ?

The pins pop out of the plugs easily enough, I'd get another wire and replace it properly.

Thanks I ask him to price it up but looked like the brown wire had been severed close to the plug as long as I don't need to get a new loom or whatever is under there

Ps have heated seats is that in the same wiring or is that the silver metal Cylinder bit?

I believe the cylinder is part of the belt pre-tensioning in the event of an accident. It pulls the belt tight to stop you submarining under the belt as the car decelerates
