Farewell B4

Post by B10BRW » Tue Aug 08, 2017 11:15 pm

Waved goodbye to my B4 this afternoon, very sad, but just was't using it much :(

Did not want to get into a situation where it was going to deteriorate through lack of use.

I found this to my cost, after buying an Alpina recently that had not been used for 3 years.

Really enjoyed the 2 years I had the B4, some epic trips to Italy and Germany, including Alpinas 50th :D .

Gone to another Register member, who I am sure will enjoy it as much as I did.

Nothing at the moment, Simon :(

Need to sell my E46 330 Cab first :?

Quite tempted with the B3S touring, but too many miles, and I don't like Black interiors :D

Sorry to hear that Brian, the B4 is a rare car, don't recall seeing it for sale - did you sell it via a special handshake?

Never advertised, Asim, just a deal done between 2 gentlemen :D

Enjoying the V8S, now I have fixed the many problems inherited from the previous owner.

Soon after I had it I did a trip up to Silverstone to see how boring I could make the journey :D , 140 miles of mostly dual carriageway and motorway.
At a constant 70 mph in Eco mode it averaged 48 mpg

On my long continental trips, with speeds up to max, it averaged over 33 mpg.

Normal everyday driving, I have averaged 37 mpg, who needs a diesel

It's not too bad, averaged 24 mpg over 1600 miles last month mainly on German Autobahns, including runs up to 165 mph :D
