End of production XD3?

Post by Ashok » Tue Aug 08, 2017 1:01 pm

Well it seems the configurator is down now -

I wonder when the next XD3 will be revealed (Geneva 2018?)

I'm loving this car - lots of day trips to Suffolk and Wiltshire - back road blasts in sport mode with 4 people on board - it really is a perfect family car..

I always wondered why they chose to use the X3 as their 4x4 platform, and not the X5.

I bet it goes like a rally car. Joe Achilles did a review on one on his youtube channel, and it went like the clappers off the line!

Enjoy 8)

The simple answer is weight - it's at least 300 kgs lighter than an X5. Even so, it can be a handful in sharp bends when fully laden... but in a straight line it's like a speedboat :)

I'd love to see the triple turbo engine from the X5 5.0 in an X3.
I always hoped that would have been the 'new XD3'
Rumours of an X3M have resurfaced recently, so that could be one reason
