Now thawing and drying out, the pictures hint at the wet on the car but miss the drizzle that chills. However, it was a small but perfectly formed group of cars, nice to meet so many people with a like passion and to see a gamut of older and newer Alpinas.

After two meets today, I think I'll have a break!

Thanks for the photos Asim and for organising it all, the Fox is a good venue for a smaller meet.

Made it back home in one piece. Made good progress until somebody decided to rear end some innocent guy at the M40/A34 junction causing a 6 mile tailback! Still only took 2 hours to get home mind 😎.
Great to meet everyone today, a nice selection of Alpina's on display even if the weather was abit damp.

Great to see you all today. Some very interesting and rare cars. The weather didn't seem to dampen enthusiasm.

I had my go at the maths; I worked out we had 54 cylinders and 2807bhp between us! At an average of 7.7 cylinders and 401bhp per car that's the equivalent to twice the number of more everyday cars. Quite a line-up...

Good to meet everyone today and thanks to Asim for arranging, quite impressive that we all turned up in a different model. It would have been nice to have a closer look at the cars so maybe we can try again in the spring when the weather might be a bit nicer.

I think I need to pension off the Mk IV nav as I was the only one that had trouble finding the pub :(

My first meet - as has been said, nice to put some names to forum identities. Thanks for the effort guys; I felt quite guilty only having to travel for 20mins to get there.

Aren't B12s big!

I was rather letting the side down then with my 6 cylinders and 286 bhp. If you take mine out the average is 8 cylinders and 420bhp which is a bit more impressive!

Call it a team effort Charles, your car looked great, maybe next time the sun will shine and our hairdresser cars can have the roofs down and show of their party pieces more.
One thing I think would be a good idea in small meets is having passenger rides in different cars to see/feel how the different models compare. Maybe something to explore in the future...

Going out in other's cars, that's a super idea.

I was of course only joking! Just the old OCD hating to see non-round numbers.

Hopefully next time I will be able to make it. I was on a plane at the time of the meet!

As a member of the BMWccgb I attended a few local meets which was basically a committee meeting in a pub, no wandering around gawping at cars and talking to owners about their pride and joys, thoroughly dull and never been repeated since.
It was a pleasure just to have a chat with like like minded owners about their cars and find our abit more about each cars quirks and joys even if it was a bit wet at the time.
I look forward to another meet where the cars are the stars rather than what the pub has on the menu.

I apologise I could not attend as I had something else on. I was a bit surprised the 4 or 5 locals who have ALPINA cars were not there, however I am sure with more definite plans something could be arranged before the weather turns bad.

No worries Norrie, thanks for the pub recommendation. I spoke to the landlord Russell beforehand and he sounded a top chap. Unfortunately we missed him when we had a drink later as I wanted to say thanks in person.

Phil, good idea on the passenger rides. Maybe we can sort another meet up and come up to your neck of the woods this time.
Agreed, great to meet like minded owners who are all similarly nuts about Alpina :D
