Where did you get your centre caps from Rob? I think mine is in need of some new ones.

Not sure the pukar ones will work as they are domed and these are flat, the dynamic wheel cap is completely different to other alpina wheels in the centre cap design, they are plastic and push fit.

OK, I am now on the second stage of the brake replacement plan and have now ordered the front set of Zimmerman Discs from Germany, £370.51 delivered from WS Autotiele on Ebay.

Have also ordered EBC Ultimax Pads, hopefully less dust than the originals. I have been very happy with the performance of the EBC yellow and blue stuff on my E34 Track car, plus they are good chunk cheaper than the OE ones Sytner quoted me for.

100 posts Yippee!!!!! I get an L and an Alpina Roundel

Will do, hoping to get them fitted before Gaydon.... assuming they do actually fit, the rears did so I see no reason why the fronts shouldn't, I am looking forward to judder free braking.

Well I got the front discs fitted today, bolted straight on, the guys at Munich Motors just had to use a different locating screw (from an M6 I guess) than the ones fitted to the car.

Now I have conclusively proved you don't have to buy discs from Alpina or BMW for the B6 or B5 or the S versions.........the holy grail has been found, with no machining of parts involved, and a considerable saving on OE.

I know it is not to everybodys taste, but I like the cross drilled appearance.

I will take some pictures and write a short over view as a seperate post in the coming weeks.

So nice to have judder free braking, Gaydon here I come.

Well done Rob... many have tried before, all have failed as far as I know.
Excellent effort and I do approve of the drilled disc look.

Drilled discs look great, your next mission Rob, if you care to accept it, is to find an alternative front disc set up for the E39 B10 V8S :D
