It's a beauty but i think I'd be picking one of the E32's to get out and about in ... if I had the choice!! :(

Did you buy it then? The car is no prize and needs a good amount of money spent on it.

Did you pony up the 10k he wanted then?

Like all Alpina's ,
they are only worth what somebody is prepared to pay for them
Most of the older cars, even the newer ones will need money spending on them.
The older Alpina's are getting harder to find , never mind buy
There are also collectors and Alpina enthusiasts coming from the EU and taking Sytner built cars back there
This particular car has a lot of providence and comes with a lot of paperwork,
It comes with Full Bmw main dealer service history,
You have an opinion , so do many others, they will all differ
And yes, I have bought the car and paid more than what you were offered the car for or the figure the seller originally wanted
I'm still in contact with the new owner of B12MPH Alpina B12 5.0, he has finished commissioning the car and currently using it,
He has a firm bid of 30k for that particular car

Seen it first time round
But I only see that one at about £8k max
Was originally a pre facelift
Then converted to a facelift
Dash board in bits
Might be an easy one, or might turn out to be a nightmare

I'd worry why its really an unfinished project ... surely its got nightmare written all over it and you'll still only end up with a left hooker when/if its done.

well you need you head looking at! Its no prize - yes it had provenance but its the wrong end of 180k on it needing alot of work that kills its value Frank sytner or not to the real ballers. I couldn't even hear it run or power the car up so i didn't get the best impression but i guess he knew a victim was coming in you!!!

Time to get the wallet out!

I also originally viewed the car like yourself
Just able to look at the car
Not running
I made an offer and walked away
He eventually got the car running, I was in contact with him on a regular basis, at this stage he did have some genuine interested buyers
That's when I went back and got a deal done
The car does need money spending on it I agree
But a lot of the work involves just Bmw parts
I will get an mot on the car in the coming month
I will give the engine a major service and fluid change next week and make a start in tackling the mechanical work
Believe or not, the owner before the seller now who sold it spent grands on the up keep, spent all of its life at Bmw dealerships
Full main dealer service history , with a lot of service invoices present
Regards

Nice one.

If funds are not the issue, crack on!

Will be a lovely car when it is finished.

If I had the storage for cars, I would certainly take on another Alpina or two. 🙂
