I let me son have a go...........

Post by Broch » Sun Mar 12, 2017 4:25 pm

The detailing bug can be very addictive, and this often finds me in the garage to the wee small hours a couple of weekends a year.
With summer approaching fast I decided to give the B6 a good clean up and a fresh coat of Gyeon ceramic coating.
Having only ever used the Gyeon Q2 Trim before I'd been a bit wary to take the leap over from wax with regards to the bodywork.
My son has also gotten the detailing bug, and because he's starting to get himself a good reputation with paint correction by word of mouth locally, I decided to give him a go with the B6......
He did most of the work, and I did some buffing.....
In todays sun the results are outstanding. Much better than I could ever achieve

Very impressive, my 19yo son would have taken it to the car wash for me....

Great job. I'm just lining up a detail for mine ready for the Sytner meet. Might try the ceramic coating as well as it looks good.
Look forward to seeing it in the flesh next month.

That's a great finish. I got some new Scholl 20 Black polish to try with my machine polisher - if I can get half as good a finish as you have I'll be happy!
