With an old Alpina Enthusiast/close friend just the same just had a very shabby cover
I'm under the impression that as this is not an original copy some members are not happy which I understand

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the forums - I see you've got yourself a couple of nice Alpinas.

I'm sure the information in the booklet may be of use to the folks with the heritage cars, from my perspective, it's the offering of a photocopy of the booklet for £27.95 that may take people back a little when most folk would just PDF a version and upload it for others to share the knowledge.

The genuine original booklet though would have a value i'm sure, may be around the same as the photocopied offering.

Hope that helps and it's taken in the same good will nature as it is intended.
Nothing to see here.... move along in an orderly fashion please!

F31 D3 Bi-turbo Touring #172

and a 1987 Sierra RS Cosworth (currently being restored)

booklet

The information contained is rare from the research I have done today. Certainly the pre Sytner 1983 franchise information is very rare, from Crayford Engineering in 1970, Brian Muir of Brent in 1972, who later became Alpina Automotive Limited in 1973 and based in Pershore, Wiltshire. However, Alpina sports parts were available from BMW in Chiswick and could have been added as mods to standard models.

It then appears to have passed to Tom Walkinshaw until 1982 when it passed to Frank Sytner.

This booked appears to be 1981 and non mention of it in any reference I can find.

Therefore, I guess it is offered at a price in good faith and whilst I share the general consensus of sharing, this may be a fair price to some.

As a cross-reference, TWR were based in Kidlington at that time - so this appears to compute

I have purchased a copy so will, let all know when it has arrived. I think even a copy of this historic information is worth the price, well to me. I would happily share its information if anyone is interested.

Paul Maddison it was good to chat to you and about your Alpina cars, please do come to Sytner and thanks for the opportunity for a good discussion.
