BMs on the Lawn
BMs on the Lawn
This is one of my favourite events. It is well attended with some very cars, and it's about a mile from where I live!
Having said that I nearly missed it this year...I just completely forgot!! Someone reminded me at 11.30am and I gave the car a quick wash and was down by 1pm.
I didn't manage to get a pic of the white E60 M5 4111DG, and the blue? M4 100MPG but there was some nice other stuff and an unusual D3BT estate in what looked like Silverstone Blue...

I missed quite a few cars out...lots of E46 M3s, couple of Z4s...
This is a very pleasant event if anyone is interested next year...it's 30 feet from the beach and this year we had live music courtesy of the open air music venue next door. Free entry and a fiver to enter Show and Shine which is always hotly contested.
They do a car of the show as well which my brother won last year in his Alpine White manual M4.
Last year my favourite car was an E23 7 series which was so mint and orginal it was still in its original tyres after 30+ years!

Looks great, but I'm not sure where "a mile from you" is 😀😀😀 or what the event is called, apologies if I've plainly misread it though🙈
Cheers

Thanks Jervint for the great images of my Alpina which is a D3 BT Touring in
Liquid Blue.
In the UK I understand there is only two others in this colour.
In the show and shine the car came third

No, I think the OP omitted the location. Its on the sea front Prom at Weston-Super-Mare in North Somerset.Hodge wrote:Looks great, but I'm not sure where "a mile from you" is 😀😀😀 or what the event is called, apologies if I've plainly misread it though🙈

Only 20 miles from me, so perhaps I should have popped mine down there on the lawn really. I notice there is a Maldives Blue Z4 there, but it didnt get its own photo
Alpina Roadster S Lux #307
I left out some other info like who owns what etc and where those owners live...sometimes it's not wise to give you much out on the Internet. ...you never know who's reading. Anyone interested I'd have told by PM. Not a problem though.
Aidan. ..yeah it's a shocker...the only reason I posted the picture but I lost the patience to do comments for each pic.
Hodge, it is actually called BMs on the Lawn and is run by the BMW Car Club GB and usually sponsored by Clayton Cars, a BMW and M specialist in Bristol.

You're welcome...it's was a real stunner especially as an estate.Bri-E wrote:Thanks Jervint for the great images of my Alpina which is a D3 BT Touring in

It always seems to.rain for the S&S!!
No probs. The lawns are around £600 each for the day plus the public liability insurance. Various trophies. Good clean event. We had 120 cars last year and probably around 100 this year.
One guy had a Hartge E30 with the E34 M5 engine. One of 6 in the UK apparently. No clutch so not present on the day, but I believe that engine swap became the H50 conversion. I think it's called something different on the E30 but on the E46 they put the 4.9 litre S62 V8 and on the E9x shape they put the S85 V10 in. Pretty sure they only sold 1 to a guy in the US though.
