Listened to my mechanic on voicemail.

They had the car to fix a PAS leak. They repalced the high and low pressure hoses for £350. I had the car a day and it dumped a litre of PAS fluid everywhere.

They have the car again and aparently its the cooler. Whilst in there, they have noticed that the radiator is bulging and corroded.

I asked them to get the air con working too.

Very high chance your air con condensor behind the radiator has failed. Mine failed 2 weeks ago.
Common thing on an E46 B3 of our vintage

One problem usually leads to three! The bulging radiator is common and would be my priority.

True
I haven't replaced my condensor yet but when the front bumper is off it would be rude not to do the rad and expansion tank at the same time as at 110k miles now it is on borrowed time !!

Used the D3BT today for a work trip - choice was A38 or Staffordshire Moors to get to Longton (Stoke on Trent).

Easy decision and had a bit of a play on the way home turning off the A53 to Longnor, Monyash and Bakewell leading to home.

Thoroughly enjoyed it and fell in love with the car all over again as I don't stretch its legs often enough.

She is absolutely stunning to drive and without any stability aids feels solid.

She is nearly finished Phil.

So what is left to do is the ac system, roof ledges, rear passenger windows and lastly the detail.
I’m going with the Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra including the wheels and the whole front end with PPF finished with a Gtechniq EXO.

She will be finished within the next 2 weeks.

Nice work Sab.

I cleaned my car for 3 hours yesterday - complete Autoglym polish with gloss protection. So it rained today and I used the car to goto Tesco for the wife.

Stunning as always.

Autoglym prodcts used including extra deep gloss protection and glass cleaner. She came up really well, with lots of beading.

Went out again as the weather was good for driving.

Checked the tyre pressures before I set off.

145mph on a couple of cheeky trips down the runway at Dunsfold Wings and Wheels. Just because you can.......

The fastest bike was hitting 180mph. Couldn't imagine doing that with the limited runoff there
