Went out for the first car meet of the year. A local cars and coffee with lots of classics and moderns in attendance. A nice Morning especially with the roof down for the first day of summer 😎.
Also booked a leather guy to work some magic on my drivers side bolster and armrest as they were showing their age. Looking forward to a refreshed interior in a few weeks.

New boots on refurbished rims. The old tyres were dangerous they we so old and hard. These are yoko AD08R, bit hardcore but the choice of tyres in 225/45/16 is very limited now.

Given it fairly good pasting tonight down some favourite local B roads that have you up and down the gears and rev range. Perfect for running in! 800 miles now on the engine and i just want to rag the arse out of it as thats all this engine wants you to do. Tyres have transformed it, you forget how hardcore these E30s Alpinas are compared to the newer Alpinas.

Needs a front wheel bearing now, lots of jobs to do still

Oil Service on the B3s at 62K and a good look around underneath. Found a weep on the PAS Rack (is this common?) and also evidence of oil on the LHS of the engine (valve cover?).

Like Simon, more jobs to do :)

I’ve had my front drivers seat whisked away for a proper repair. They are going to reinstate the foam padding on the outside bolster which has collapsed over time causing the leather to wear against the internal frame then recolour the damaged leather.
They have also taken my floor mats away to recolour the Lavalina trim which was looking tired also.
Looking forward to a fresh looking interior in a few weeks.

There's some lovely, less busy roads around there. Fish face.

I have got my drivers seat back from the leather guys. They have done a great job. They have fitted new foam to the outer bolster and recoloured the leather perfectly, looks like new. They also cleaned and recoloured my armrest and floor mat leather trim to like new condition.
I used the leather repair company west mids division and would definitely recommend their work. Nice guys and petrol heads too and take pride in their work.
All set for the summer now.
