Refurbed wheels

Hi
Looking at refurbed OEM wheels on eBay.
Is there any way of telling if they've previously cracked and been repaired / welded - is that always visible despite refurb?

I had a crack in one of my 19s and after it was repaired and refurbed there was no sign whatsoever.

All depends on the quality of the repair.
If someone has gone to all the effort of grinding a weld down , filling it and sorting it properly then it need not be a concern
If it is a genuine Alpina wheel then there isn't really a drama if you get a repaired wheel as the initial metal is of a high enough grade to take a weld. The same cannot be said of many replica wheels.

OEM wheels made by Ronal or BBS on behalf of BMW can be welded back up with no issues
