Anyone use these all year round ... impressions ?

Daughter has recently acquired an E46 316i Touring and doesn`t have the space for two sets of wheels / tyres so I thought I`d investigate how these perform.

In my opinion, you end up with a bad tyre all round.

This phrase is very apt for All season tyres:

"Jack of all trades, master of none."

Probably quite apt for a 316i
It's not going to set the world on fire performance wise so won't really see the benefits of running high end summer tyres.
All season ones would be a good compromise IMVHO

I would consider fitting winters.

In the summer, unless she is hooning around, then she won't notice the softer turn-in and general squidgyness and in the wet and cold she will have the best choice of rubber on the car.

I made this decision last winter for the Megane which now has permanent winter tyres - 'cos we don't drive her all that much and she's a 1.4l Shocked

I have Bridgestone A001s on my Honda Accord. They're an all season tyre and on a car with low performance pretensions they are great. Brilliant in rain and with standing water and I genuinely can't tell the difference with regular tyres, on this car.

I wouldn't dream of running a decent steer with them through the year, but for most people in everyday cars I reckon they are a far better option.

Recently replaced the rears after 20k, they did have several thousand more Summer miles in them but with two impending 1k trips in quick succession ... away they went.

I had not driven on them until yesterday, their stability through / on drenched motorways is most impressive Smile

Our ongoing tyre of choice for the `junior Touring` then ... Rolling Eyes
