My Alpina D3 - Montego Blue

Post by Gav-d3 » Sun Dec 30, 2012 6:51 pm

Here's few pics I'd like to Share of my New Alpina.
Recently Bought it from Member 'PTK Fraz'

Just got it back on it's original Number Plates as it had his private plate on when I bought it.

Surprisingly on a 57 Plate (registered Jan 2008) it's the 3rd from last D3 MT. In fact from what I can see from the Alpina-Archive site it was the last Blue one they made.

Now sitting on just over 42K on the Clock. Anyway let me know what you think !

Cheers

Great set of images, you can now start getting used to the car plus your grin will just get bigger the more miles you drive. :D

Thanks for the comments guys.

Glad you got the paperwork through Fraser !
I'm actually considering getting a private plate now but....

Ade I understand when the plates changed I just find it strange as there's alot of MT's on 08 plates and as this is one of the last ones you'd think it would also be.

Cheers

Yes, but there will be some D3's with a lower build number than yours which were unsold. When they were eventually sold, they would have been registered....and some will have crept over that 01/03/08 barrier. Yours was possibly a factory order OR maybe the only Montego Blue one available at the time and bought by the 1st owner who didn't want all the other available cars in grey, black or silver. The build number does not indicate in any way when the car was registered...a look at Roadster S build numbers/dates and registration dates indicates the complete and total randomness with which the cars left the compound, and as another example, Sleeperservices' D3BT #200 is registered on a '59 and my #097 is registered 01/03/10 as a '10 plate 8)

I understand what you're saying ! I don't think there's too many 08 D3's.
I've only seen a couple online. Might be getting a private plate soon anyway. D3 number plates on the DVLA are only £500 unfortunately my Initials aren't available though :x

Thanks, Yeah really like it.
Shame they are quite basic inside but apart from that it's a great car and really stands out.
